The son of Roman Zach grew into an idol of young girls. The relationship with dad took on a new dimension only when he moved away

The actor Roman Zach is one of the prominent personalities in Czech show business – tall figure, charisma, deep voice. And this combination was almost perfectly transferred to his son Prokop Zach, who is gradually becoming the new face of the young generation of actors. Besides being unmissable, he's starting to prove more and more that he's got great talent.

You can't deny the genes. Modeling was at his feet, but he won the stage boards

Prokop is as tall as his father and has distinctive features that did not go unnoticed.
Young Zach was interested in modeling agencies in the past, because he would fit perfectly into the world of fashion campaigns. But Prokop had something else in him since childhood - a pull towards acting.

He himself admits that he was initially rather afraid of acting. He didn't want to be automatically seen as just "the son of a famous actor". But his love for the theater eventually prevailed.

At first his parents discouraged him from acting

The family wanted him to choose a more stable field. At home, it wasn't even considered at all that he would go to the conservatory. "When I announced that I got there, I first joked that it wasn't. Dad was so happy that you wouldn't believe it," recalled Prokop in the program 7 falls of Honza Dędek.

In the end, however, the father accepted his son's choice and supported. And that decided it.

The first time together on stage

Prokop made his first appearance on the stage in the Divadle Bez zábradlí, where he appeared by the side of his father.
Further theater opportunities and the first offers for filming followed.

At the same time, together with his friend and colleague Maximilián Dolanský, he founded his own theater troupe. Working together is a dream come true for him.

Hamlet, Ophelia and the talked about kiss

Prokop also studied at DAMU, but in the end he decided to return to the conservatory, where he felt more free.
And it was there that his current project — Hamlet was born.

Prokop plays Hamlet and his friend Max plays Ophelia.

"Kissing" it's actually great with Max. We've set it up so that if it's natural, there's nothing special about it," he commented with a smile.

The relationship with dad improved when they no longer lived under the same roof

Both openly admit today that their coexistence in the same house was not always harmonious.
Only when Prokop moved out did they find a better way together.

you're looking forward to seeing the other person," Prokop described.
Roman Zach agrees: "It's calmed down a lot. Sometimes you just need distance."

His time is just coming

Directors talk about him as a talent with a big future ahead of him.
And it's very likely that we'll soon see Prokop Zach in a major film or series role.

The son of a famous father seems to be going his own way — but with healthy humility and enormous talent.
