Who does Lucie Polišenská from Polabí live with: She met her husband in the theater, today they have a farm together and raise chickens

Actress Lucie Polišenská is one of the most prominent faces of contemporary series. Viewers love her for her humor, naturalness and humanity, thanks to which she was able to reach thousands of fans. Although he appears in popular projects and appears very open on the screen, he guards his privacy like few others. All the more attention is drawn to her husband, whom she only rarely lets out in public. "They told me that I didn't belong there... and I went anyway"

Polišenská originally did not desire the limelight — she wanted to be a nurse and even actually graduated from nursing school. But volunteer theater changed her life direction.

Even though many people discouraged her — often because of her appearance — she didn't give up.

"I heard that I was too big for DAMU and that they didn't take girls like that. But I loved the theater. And if there were stars like Stella Zázvorková or Helena Růžičková, why not me?"

And she did well. The audience fell in love with her in the series Ohnivý kure, Krejzovi, Slunečná, ZOO and now also in the hit Polabí.

Love from the theater: Roman worked as a lighting engineer

Working in the theater brought her together with her husband Roman. He worked there for fourteen years as a lighting engineer, which is a profession that the average viewer doesn't even notice, but without which the show would not have been created.

Today he does not work in the theater. He was often mistakenly written as a builder, or even a junior partner. Lucie denied these speculations:

"He's not younger, he's not a builder. He worked in the theater, he lives a normal life — that's all. I don't want to build our relationship as part of PR. I want my work to define me, not my privacy."

Escape from Prague and a new life on a farm: "That's my luck"

From the bustle of Prague, the couple moved to a village on Příbramska, where they bought a farmhouse.
There they grow vegetables and keep a bunch of animals — from dogs to ducks to chickens.

Co-stars even started calling her Big Farmer.

"I'm not the urban type. I need grass, silence, a little mud and work with my hands. I see the peppers growing or the chickens demanding to be fed, it's the greatest joy for me."

The desire for a family: "I don't want to postpone it"

Lucie makes no secret of the fact that she desires a child.

"I love the theater, but you can't live your whole life just by work. Having a family behind and in front of you is important. And I don't want that put it off for a long time," she has said in the past.

Whether she would even talk about the pregnancy publicly is a question. Privacy is essential to her.

She stays her own. And that's why she's so popular

Polišenská is not one of the stars who need to "sell" herself on social networks or on red carpets.
Her authenticity, kindness and sincerity are the reason why viewers love her so much.
