Martin Dejdar's son is all dad: instead of playing hockey, he runs a business, produces perfumes and builds luxury houses in Bali

Actor Martin Dejdar is not only a star of the movie screen, but also the proud father of two children - son Matěj and daughter Sára, which he has with his long-time wife Daniela. Together, they celebrated thirty years of marriage this year, which is more the exception than the rule in Czech show business. And while the actor remains in film and theater, his son Matěj found himself in a completely different world – the world of business, luxury and travel.

Life between Florida and the Czech Republic

The Dejdar family lived in the United States for several years, specifically in sunny Florida. Martin wanted his children to get to know another culture and learn English perfectly. It worked for a while, but in 2018 they decided to return home.

"It was mainly because of finances. Life in Florida is beautiful, but also extremely expensive," the actor admitted in one of the interviews. Despite this, the family still has a strong relationship with America and regularly returns there.

Matěj wanted to be a hockey player, but fate decided otherwise

Son Matěj Dejdar had great sporting talent as a child. He played hockey for several years and it even looked like he would grow up to be a professional goalkeeper. But fate decided otherwise. He had to end his career due to health problems.

"There was no point in continuing to suffer from pain. Today I will only play recreationally, for example at my dad's exhibition matches," he revealed to Žena.cz.

He tried show business, but found himself in business

For a while it looked like he would follow in his dad's footsteps. He appeared in several films and with his father filmed the travel show Dejdoši na přeže. "It was a lot of fun. If it was filmed again, I'll do it right away," he confided.

But in the end he decided to go another way. Today he is a successful entrepreneur and the founder of several projects that revolve around luxury and design.

Perfumes, houses in Bali and chartering planes

Matěj Dejdar is the founder of a company that focuses on the production of exclusive perfumes. The fragrances he creates often bear the names of well-known personalities. "In November, we are preparing a collection with fifteen new fragrances," he revealed.

But that's not all. He also started a development project in Bali with his friend - they design and build modern houses by the ocean. "We will create a project, build it and sell it. So far we have everything dismantled, there is nothing left," he boasts.

And because business is clearly not enough for him, he added another activity - leasing private planes and arranging VIP holidays.

"When someone wants to fly to Monaco, we will provide them with a plane, a villa, a yacht, restaurants, everything exactly according to their wishes. We will get clients even where they can't normally get to," he explained how his service works.

He looks like his dad, but he has his own style

At first glance, it's clear that Matěj inherited his father's charisma, humor and zest for life. While Martin Dejdar entertains people in front of the camera, his son is conquering the world of luxury business.
And by all accounts, he is doing more than well. "I'm not the type to complain. I do what I enjoy and I'm grateful for it," he adds with a smile.
