Actress Jiřina Bohdalová has long made no secret of the fact that her grandchildren are her greatest joy. They provide her with energy, which she also radiates in society. He often appears in public with them and proudly talks about them. While the younger of the pair, Vojta Staš, has already managed to get married and make Bohdalová a great-grandmother, his older brother Ciccotti is going through life at a calmer pace.

The stormy love of his parents

is the son of actress Simona Stašová and Italian theater critic Eusebio Ciccotti. Their relationship began at a time when Stašová was coming to terms with her breakup with Pavel Trávníček, whom she married as a prince from a fairy tale. The charismatic Italian then helped her overcome the pain and became a support.

Love was spirited – full of emotions, joy and arguments. Already a year after the beginning of their relationship, Marek was born to them, and a few years later came a happy wedding. But the marriage lasted less than ten years. The divorce was difficult, but it was because of the child that the parents tried to remain friends.

He can't deny his exotic roots

the grown-up Marek has not only his father's surname, but also a typically Mediterranean appearance. Black hair, dark eyes and strong charisma make him a man who attracts attention. No wonder he earned the nickname "Italian heartbreaker".

Like his grandfather and mother, he also moves in the art world. He devotes himself to film directing and tries to establish himself in his own way, regardless of famous relatives.

He does not want to live off a famous name

Although he is the grandson of Jiřina Bohdalová and the son of Simona Stašová, Marek realizes that a famous surname can be more of a burden than an advantage in the industry. That's why he's glad that his name is Ciccotti and not Staš.

"People treat you differently when they know where you come from. An Italian surname gives me anonymity. I don't have to immediately explain whose grandson I am," he confided in an interview to eXtra.cz. He added that he doesn't want to hide or be ashamed of a famous family, he just wants peace and a fair evaluation of his own work.

Marek vs. Vojta

His younger brother Vojta, who bears the surname Staš, has never hidden his family background and has also already followed the path of his own family. Marek, on the other hand, seems more restrained, does not want to rush anything and is more focused on professional growth.

Grandma Bohdalová's joy
