Who does DJ Wich live with? The Czech rap legend lives in a luxurious villa outside Prague and the biggest star is his cat

Music producer and DJ Tomáš Pechlák, known under the nickname DJ Wich, is one of the biggest personalities of the Czech music scene. He will turn 50 in three years, sold out the O2 arena and collaborated with leading rappers, yet he guards his privacy much more than other artists. The one he shares his life with is shrouded in mystery. But one thing is certain – his most faithful companion has been the famous cat Bublina for several years.

From graffiti to legend

DJ Wich has been making music for more than three decades. He started on the Prague graffiti scene, where he met Indy and LA4. Together they formed the group Indy & Wich, which was one of the pioneers of Czech hip hop.

Since then, his career has undergone an incredible development. He recorded hundreds of beats, collaborated with stars such as Rytmus, Orion, Hugo Toxxx, Rest, Dara Rolins, Majk Spirit or Kontrafakt, and at the same time celebrated success abroad. His album The Golden Touch became a cult hit and is still considered one of the highlights of Czech hip hop production.

A show that no one expected

Wich was a legend even in 2023, when years later he again sold out a large hall - this time the O2 arena, with a symphony orchestra on the side. It was a similarly spectacular event, as when he filled Prague's Lucerne twice in 2014. At that time, he himself modestly admitted that he did not even hope for such success. But the audience stood and applauded, because DJ Wich proved that even a producer and beatmaker can fill the largest concert spaces in the Czech Republic.

Privacy full of secrets

Unlike other celebrities, Wich never suffered from tabloid headlines. He has never publicly presented himself as a partner and to this day it is not known whether he has the love of his life by his side. The only "lady" he is 100% sure of is the Bublina cat.

He even made her famous on social networks. He created a profile for Bublina, where he shared photos and funny moments from their life together. Fans soon began to regard her as "the most famous cat in Europe", as DJ Wich himself said with a laugh.

Luxury villa with a dream studio

In 2018, DJ Wich moved from a Prague apartment to a modern villa outside Prague, where he also built his own recording studio. He longed for more peace, nature and a space that he could use not only for music, but also for relaxation.

The interior of the house reflects his attention to detail – clean lines, luxurious accessories, custom-made furniture and, of course, a huge collection of vinyl and sneakers. "You would hear rumbles from the studio, jazz from the living room and a mix of original samples from the terrace," he described in one of the interviews.

Passion for travel

Apart from music, his great passion is also travelling. He has already visited more than 60 countries and shares photos and videos on social networks that could easily decorate travel magazines. He often travels alone - this also indicates that he does not have a partner by his side at the moment.

If he wasn't a DJ, he might have devoted himself to photography or graphics, because he has an extraordinary talent in that too.

Does he have the greatest career peak yet?

Although he already has enough achievements for several musical resumes, DJ Wich seems to still want to push the boundaries. At fifty years old, he is in the best form, he continues to create and his beats remain unique.

And who knows - maybe the biggest moments of his career are still ahead of him.
