Lucie Polišenská: The actress from ZOO lives with her husband on a farm and dreams of a family

Actress Lucie Polišenská, best known from the series ZOO, has never bothered with the fact that her figure does not correspond to fashion ideals. On the contrary – she takes it as her professional advantage and thanks to this she was able to build a solid place in the Czech acting world.

Originality as an advantage

"There are a lot of slender actresses, but not so many like me. When three actresses are alike, they have a harder time. I don't hear that," she explained with a smile in an interview with DNES magazine. According to her, today's young girls have a more difficult path to self-confidence, because they often compare themselves to unattainable ideals from magazines and social networks. "It's a shame no one tells them it's not important," she added.

Mysterious husband Roman

Lucie guards her privacy carefully. The public found out that she was married rather by accident - directly from her mouth. "My husband mainly forbade me to talk about having a husband," she said amusedly in an interview. It is only known that his name is Roman, he works as a builder and that he does not want media attention.

Life on a country estate

The actress moved from the city to the countryside for her husband, directly to his native village. There they live on a farm that they own together, which earned her the nickname "the big landlady". They have a field, a tractor and other farm machinery. "I really like it and it fulfills me, I'm not a person who is used to a big city," she confided in the show Face 2 Face.

The desire for children

Although she has many work responsibilities in Prague and often commutes, rural life makes sense to her. She would like to start a family in the future. "A person should not live only for work. He should have his family behind him - parents, grandparents - but also in front of him. And I don't want to put it off for a long time," she revealed some time ago.
