Jan Dolanský from Ulica has famous parents. He inherited the artistic genes from both of them, he even played alongside his mother

Actor Jan Dolanský, known to viewers from the endless series , comes from an artistic family. Both his parents worked in theater and television, and it is no wonder that he took the same path. An interesting fact is that his mother appeared in several series and after her son played in Sunny.

Mom Mária Dolanská – actress, had to change profession

Jan's mother, Mária Dolanská, celebrated 74 years this year. For sixteen long years, she worked at the Klicper Theater in Hradec Králové, where her twins Jan and Jiří were born. After the revolution, however, the situation in culture changed and she had to look for another job to support her sons. Nevertheless, she found time for small acting roles every now and then.

We could see her, for example, in the series Sunny, Crime Scene of České Budějovice, Crimes of Great Prague, 1. MISE or Colds and Babies. She herself admitted that she still misses acting:
"I always felt that I was born for acting. But life forced me to take a different path," she confided.

Zdeněk Dolanský – actor and dubbing

Dad Zdeněk Dolanský worked at the Vychodočeský divadle in Pardubice, but viewers also knew him from television. He played, for example, in the series Police Modrava, Rapl, Chetnické humoresky or The life and times of judge A. K..
He was also a sought-after voice actor - he lent the voice of Reverend Lovejoy in the cult animated series The Simpsons.

He died in 2020. The news was announced by Jan Dolanský himself at the time:
"Our dad, Zdenda Dolanský, has passed away. Thank you very much to everyone who remembers him," he wrote at the time.

Brother Jiří Dolanský – athlete and traveler

Jan has an identical twin Jiří, but he never devoted himself to acting. He studied Sport Management at Charles University and during his studies he also worked as a delegate on the Greek islands. Later, he worked in management positions for international companies.
Jan does not mention his sibling relationship much, which is why for a long time even fans had no idea that he had one.

The family relay continues

Jan Dolanský is married to Lenko Vlasáková, with whom he raises four children - Johan, Amelia, Maximilian and Sofia (Vlasáková has one from a previous relationship with playwright Egon Tobiáš).

The youngest Maximilián Dolanský is already following in the footsteps of his parents and grandparents. He appeared in the series Docent, Taneční, Kriminálka Anděl or Limity and, according to critics, he has a promising future ahead of him.
