Petr Rychlý's sons on TV: Ondřej plays, Matěj takes risks in the field

The actor and entertainer Petr Rychlý has three sons, two of whom have combined their professional lives with television. While the younger Ondřej followed in his father's footsteps and became a successful actor, the eldest Matěj works in front of the camera as a crime news reporter - a job that often brings tension and risk.

Family and life twists

Petr Rychlý was married for sixteen years to a dab artist and Pavla Vojáčková, with whom he has sons Ondřej and Matěj. The marriage ended in 2004. Two years later, he married former tennis player Jana Pospíšilová. Together they are raising a daughter, Denisa, from Jana's previous relationship, and they also have a son, Peter, who is studying.

Jana Pospíšilová played a key role in the actor's life not only alongside his wife, but also as a rescuer. In the year of his 57th birthday, she recognized the symptoms of a serious heart problem and took him to the hospital, where the doctors discovered a heart attack in a critical stage.

Ondřej: acting as fate

Ondřej Rychlý did not originally consider acting, but the influence of his environment and family roots was strong. "I grew up in the theater and over time I realized that I was drawn to acting just like my parents," he said in one of the interviews.

Today he acts in the theater and on television, for example appearing alongside his father in the series Ordinance in the Rose Garden 2. He has a son, Tobiáš, and a daughter, Františka, with his wife, the actress Tereza Rychla.

Matěj: crime fiction from the front line

Matěj Rychlý stands in front of the camera differently than his brother – as a CNN Prima News reporter, he specializes in crime reporting. They often face dangerous situations in the field. "Once the police closed off the area and walked through it with machine guns. I have to admit that I was not laughing at the time," he described in one of the reports.

Despite the demanding nature of the work, he finds it fulfilling. With his wife Anička, he is raising a daughter Laura and a son Alfréd.
