Who does Jan Čenský really live with? Boulevard dealt with Morávková, but the fairy-tale prince has a completely different Dana at home

Jan Čenský is among the most elegant of Czech show business - and even after years in front of the camera, he has a reputation as a perfect gentleman and a fairy-tale prince. It is therefore not surprising that women were interested in him from the beginning of his career. Nevertheless, the same woman has been standing by his side for more than three decades - the inconspicuous Dana, who does not care about media attention and guards their family privacy as the greatest treasure.

Years of speculation about a romance with Morávková

During his career, actor and presenter Jan Čenský won not only the admiration of the audience, but also several front pages of the tabloids. The media most often associated him with his longtime acting and presenter partner Dana Morávková. The two have created so many well-known projects together over the years that part of the public began to automatically consider them a couple.

But the truth was completely different.

"Honza is like my brother. It's not a romance, but a beautiful friendship," Morávková explained years ago. Čenský himself joked that if they lived together, Morávková would have moved in with him a long time ago because he can't cook. Both of them laugh about it today - and consider tabloid theories about their relationship to be one of the evergreens of Czech gossip.

The only woman in his life is Dana

While Morávková was the "paparazzi love" of the media, the real woman in Jan's life is named Dana Čenská. They met in the early nineties, when she was working as a film scriptwriter. They fell in love quickly, soon they were expecting a child - and Jan stood up to it like a man: he married her.

To this day, their wedding day is one of the funniest stories of their lives. After the ceremony, the groom changed his clothes and rushed to his duties - straight to the theater performance. When he came back, the celebration was already in full swing and he said he doesn't remember much about the traditional "wedding night".

A crisis that changed almost everything

But their marriage was not always cloudless. Years ago, photographs of Čenský in an embrace with an attractive florist from the events he moderated appeared in the public space. At the time, both denied it was an affair, but admitted they kissed "in a tense moment". The event shook the trust they had to rebuild for a long time.

"It hurts, but we're working on it," Dana said openly at the time. And it worked. Today, the couple are a solid couple again.

Why does he almost never talk about his wife?

Dana is hardly seen by the public. She is the type of woman who doesn't care about the limelight. He doesn't accompany Jan to parties, he doesn't go to premieres and he doesn't enjoy the attention of the media. This is precisely why she earned the nickname "Mrs Columbová" - everyone knows about her, but few have seen her.

However, Čenský speaks of her with great respect - as a tolerant woman who understands that the acting life is full of deals, fans and flattery. He often says that she is his support and that without her he would not be where he is today.

Son Matyáš follows his own path

The couple raised their son Matyáš, who today works mainly in the artistic environment, but lives according to his own rules. Although the father was often away for work, today they have a strong relationship - more like two partners than a typical father and son.
