Míša Maurerová: The cheeky Digi from Ulica became an elegant redhead and a mother of three

Actress Michaela Maurer is perhaps more mysterious to the public than most of her colleagues. She talks little about her private life, and yet she managed to build a stable career, which her fans associate not only with television roles, but also with her unmistakable voice.

From the sports gymnasium at DAMU

Michaela has Slovak roots – her grandparents came from eastern Slovakia. But no one in the family approached acting. Her father was a doctor, her mother an economics engineer, so her journey to Prague's DAMU was more of a brave decision than a family tradition.

Already during her studies, she became a presenter on Czech TV and managed to write for Bravo Girl magazine, where she ran a counseling center for young girls. "I enjoyed writing for Bravíček, and I learned a lot myself," she recalls today.

Fame thanks to the role of Digi

The role of the sassy hairdresser Digi in the TV series Ulice brought her popularity. Viewers liked her for her intransigence and humor, and especially when her character was a couple with lawyer Marko Stránský (Ondřej Brzobohatý).

In real life, Michaela married businessman Milan Kožíšek, with whom she has twins Josef and Magdalena. At first, the children sometimes accompanied their mother to events, but later the actress allowed them peace away from the interest of the media. After the breakup, he has a daughter, Emma, ​​from another relationship. She protects her current partner from the public. "We're not hiding, I just respect that he doesn't want to be a part of my job. Just like I'm not going to be a part of his," she explained.

A brunette redhead with a radio voice

The formerly short-haired brunette gradually became an elegant redhead. Today, he works at Czech Radio, where he conducts interviews with colleagues and guests. "I'm starting to feel like I'm focusing mainly on audio. It's a good preparation for old age, when it won't be important what I look like, but what I say," she says with a smile.

Although she enjoys working on the radio, she hasn't completely abandoned serials. It recently appeared, for example, in Zlatá labuti or ZOO - Nové záčátky.
