Ljuba Krbová has a famous brother: The child actor became a successful businessman

Perhaps few people know this, but actress Ljuba Krbová has a brother who became famous as a child in several film and television projects. For example, Martin Krb appeared in the popular series We all have to go to school, where he played Jindra Jokl, the son of Jiřina Bohdalová and Vladimír Brabec. It was then that an assistant director discovered him for the role by chance on the street - no one had any idea that he was a sibling of a famous actress.

Although Martin had an obvious talent for film and the camera liked him, he ultimately did not study art. Instead of acting, he chose the path of business.

From the TV screen to the world of business

Today, Martin Krb runs a family business that deals with chemical raw materials. As Ljuba herself revealed in an interview, both of her brothers took an economic path. "Dad said they have decent civilian jobs. Martin runs the company, he studied economics," she said.

At the same time, the actress admitted that she did not support Martin much in the artistic profession. "He was talented, but I told him that it wouldn't be easy. The boys did make home movies, one of the brothers even wanted to be a sound engineer, but when dad started the company after the revolution, he needed them in it," she added.

A family business with a billion dollar turnover

Originally, the small company Silcom was founded by their father Jiří Krb, who previously worked for foreign companies within Chemapol. After the revolution, he received an offer to open their office in Czechoslovakia, but when the foreign partner withdrew, he decided to stand on his own two feet. The company gradually grew and became part of the German Biesterfeld Group.

"During the cooperation negotiations, we insisted that we remain at the head of the company. We believed that personal commitment is key," said Martin Krb in an interview with Forbes. The German partner welcomed their experience and the agreement brought many benefits to both parties.

Family as the center of life

Ljuba Krbová has a total of four younger siblings. She herself describes that family gatherings are very lively for them. "We're like an Italian clan - noise, children, dogs, everyone talking at once. My husband always jokes that as an orphan, he doesn't understand where all these people came from," laughs Krbová.

Her husband is the writer Ondřej Neff. Ljuba has a daughter, Anna Maria Landor, from her previous relationship with the orthopedist Ivan Landor. Her daughter took the legal path and has already become an actress and a two-time grandmother.
