Karel Janák lives with actress Romana Goščíková, they met at a casting and today they form a close-knit team

Director Karel Janák, known for the film comedies Snowboarders, Rafťáci or HUNTING, has been living with actress Romana Goščíková for several years. They met unexpectedly - at a casting for an advertisement, where Janák was so interested that a relationship gradually developed between them. They got married in 2017 and are raising a son, Ondřej, who was born two years later.

Romana is an actress known from series such as or Sunny and at the same time runs the Radek Brzobohatý Theatre, which she bought from Hana Gregorová. She and her husband regularly collaborate, either in the theater or during the filming of television projects. Even though the roles are clearly divided – he as director, she as producer – they agree that working together strengthens their relationship.

Son Ondřej is already following in their footsteps – he has appeared in several minor film roles and should also star in the planned sequel to Snowboarders. Although Janák would like one more child, Romana remains cautious for now. He claims that he is not too eager to go back to getting up at night and changing diapers.

Today, the couple lives happily not only in their personal but also in their professional lives. Janák builds on his successful films and Roman continues to develop the theater scene. Their relationship shows that the combination of director and actress can work very well - both at home, on stage and in front of the camera.
