Film debut as a princess

Vondráčková gained her first major attention for her role in the fairy tale The Crazy Sad Princess from 1968, where she starred alongside Václav Neckár. The film, shot by director Bořivoj Zeman, is still popular today and marked an important start for Helena's career. Jaroslav Marvan played the role of Father Jindřich, Bohuš Záhorský played King Dobromysl, and the film also featured Josef Kemr and Stella Zázvorková.
