Emotional Leoš Mareš at Slavíce: His words moved the audience, they were secretly aimed at Patrik Hezucký

This year's Czech Nightingale started with an unexpectedly serious atmosphere. Moderator Leoš Mareš, who is otherwise synonymous with lightness and humor, came to the stage with a face that the audience sees in him in a truly exceptional way. Instead of the traditional words about entertainment, he gave a speech that touched many people's hearts - and it seems that he was not only addressed to the evening's presenter pair, but also to his sick partner Patrik Hezucká.

Mareš surprised with a serious tone

Leoš began with words that indicated that this year he did not just come to give an opening speech, as is the case with Slavík habit.

"Years later, Nova Television asked me to highlight the abilities of my colleagues in the introduction. He gave me unlimited space and a free hand to do so," Mareš said without a smile.

Whoever knows him must have noticed that this time his typical humor was left completely aside.

An allusion that went straight to the heart

After a while, he turned to something completely different direction.

"But I would like to say something else. I would like to introduce an exceptional pair of presenters... You guys will be great," he praised Aleš Háma and Ondřej Sokol.

And then came the sentence that froze the audience:
"The best thing is that you have each other. And that you can stand together on the same stage."

This sounded like a clear message towards Patrik To Hezucka, Mareš's long-time radio partner, who is struggling with health problems and has been spending the last weeks in the hospital. Fans were recently shocked by the news that he ended up in a wheelchair.

Hezucký reassured his supporters with at least a short message:
"I'm on antibiotics, I caught some muribundus. I'll be out of action for 5-7 days. Hopefully it'll get better soon."

However, the shared photo from the hospital rather scared people.

And the situation escalated in the Tuesday morning show of Europe 2, where Patrik was supposed to be back after a long time. In the end, he didn't arrive.

Leoš informed the listeners visibly softly:
"He texted me at 5:42 how he was doing. He can't broadcast today. I apologize."

A few minutes later, Mareš even left the studio earlier than usual. And that was a clear sign that he was really worried about his partner.
